| After 2
almost 2 months of experimenting, en designing, I Finally could
start to make some work, Which ended up in 2 Vases.
And that was the start of the next project, It
all became shapes that looked like they’ve grown out of themselves.
Resulting in a few different pieces.
In between I’ve made some other small pieces
that haven’t got much to do with the other one, but were more
technical trials, experimenting some with mokume gane, and making
some alloys for that as well.
And off course when you’re working on
something, you get more and more ideas for new things, So at the
moment there’re more ideas than time to actually make them, but
plenty opportunities for the nearby future.

I started working as an audio-technician in theaters. After a few
years I decided to go back to school, This became de Vakschool in
Schoonhoven. Something completely different, but I liked it from the
first day on. Started with jewelerywork as an goldsmith, once
finished that, I did an extra year of silversmithing, to learn how
to make large scale work. Then the Idea of S.I.M. came up and a few
people told me about it. From the first moment on I was interested
and I kept informed. I decided to participate.
So this year is
once more interesting to me, especially because it gave me the
opportunity to develop my skills and for me personally that means
also my designing skills. Which turned out to be really interesting
already to me. In the beginning I struggled with it, but it’s
getting better, and I have a few projects going on right now, and I
think there’s enough potential for me in the designing process that
I am working on right now. |
